From our Lesson Today - Heidi Horger gave our lesson today.  The topic was “The Lord wants us to accept ministering from others.”

We had a great discussion about the importance of being good “receivers” as well as good ministers to each other.  The lives of others, as well as our own, are blessed as we accept and allow others to serve us.

Elder Robert D. Hales said: “The gospel plan requires giving and receiving. … Individuals in difficulty often say: ‘I’ll do it alone,’ … ‘I can take care of myself.’ It has been said that no one is so rich that he does not need another’s help, no one so poor as not to be useful in some way to his fellowman. The disposition to ask assistance from others with confidence, and to grant it with kindness, should be part of our very nature” (“We Can’t Do It Alone,” Ensign, Nov. 1975, 91, 93).

Remember that you are not alone.  There are many around you that are willing to help lift and carry your burdens.  When you ask for and allow others to help, you invite others to participate in your life.  This enables you to live in community rather than isolation.  Sisters, you are loved.

**Reminder that last week, Erin challenged us to make an individual short term goal, something we can work on over the next 2 weeks.  She encouraged us to use the “SMART” pattern when planning a goal to work towards– We hope you have been able to find something meaningful in your life to work on.
