Thank you to all who participated and shared. As sisters, we face many difficult challenges in our lives. As we seek guidance and personal revelation, we will receive direction on how to navigate those challenges, as well as being guided and directed as we minister to the varied needs of those around us.
In conjunction with our discussion, Sister Maughan handed out heart Jewels to everyone, as she shared a story of a slightly handicapped young man she encountered at work one day while she was having a particularly difficult day. As there paths crossed he eventually approached her holding out his hand and said “This is for you.” He then dropped a little red plastic heart into her hand. –This very small, but sincere act changed her day, and left a lasting impact on her life.
For our goal for this month, each sister was given a heart jewel and asked to look for an opportunity to pass it along to someone. Each week we will ask sisters to share their experience with this from the previous week.
As we simply share love with others, we help them feel the love of the Savior.
Ministering -
As a presidency we want to send out a reminder that you do not need to report your ministering efforts and visits monthly like we have done in the past. Our Supervisors have been released and all feedback on your families or individuals should be made to a member of the presidency. You will have the opportunity to report on your sisters in the Quarterly Interview with a member of the Relief Society Presidency. --That being said, --please feel free to contact a member of the presidency with concerns or other pertinent information, anytime, about the sisters and families that you minister to. You are our lifeline to helping us know the needs of our sisters. As we work together, and seek the guidance of our Heavenly Father, our Ministering efforts will be blessed.
